About

We are living in a time of great upheaval. On the one hand we march ever closer to total ecological and economic collapse… the fall of the modern, global civilization. On the other hand, more so than anytime in civilization’s history, we have the potential to reverse coarse. To heal the planet and benefit nature instead of destroying it and ourselves with it.

The sun has begun to set on the greedy capitalist powers that be. In fact, I would go as far as to say the era of Capitalist empire has ended, though a post-capitalist, ecologically beneficial, sustainable and equitable world has not replaced it…yet. Instead we are living in a time of great transition, brimming with possibilities both good and bad.

It is plainly obvious that drastic changes are needed. Indeed, changes are coming, and changes are taking form all around us every minuet of every hour of every day. It is my belief that in order to accomplish the changes we as a society and in a broader sense the planet as a whole, we must act now and act at the very roots of civilization; Food, Water, Shelter, Medicine, Manufacturing, Distribution, & Power (in both political & energy terms).

The solutions I see are ones of Ecological consciousness, Reconnecting with nature, Solidarity, Mutual Aid, Cooperation & Cooperativism; as well as Direct, Decentralized Democracy. In other words, Anarchism and Permaculture. I have attempted in previous blogs to illustrate these parallels but have so far failed to do so.

The Epilogist can thus be viewed as Permaculture for Anarchists or Anarchism for Permaculturalists. Though, I do not in anyway intend to limit the scope of this blog to either of these “ideologies” in any real way.

I sincerely hope you enjoy reading/watching this blog and by all means if you have something to share, please drop me a comment.
